LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
Trainings and lectures on relational and transformative contracting,
living governance and collaboration in complex transitions.
For many years, De Rechtmakers has been providing learning and development activities at the intersection of collaboration, relational contracting, governance, and transition. The approach is always practice-oriented: learning based on real-world case studies, current dilemmas, and complex collaborations in healthcare, welfare, the social domain, and other public contexts. The courses and training programs build on a longer development process. Founder and founder Digna de Bruin initially worked from the principles of Conscious Contracting and Integrative Law, including through Kyden (formerly Dialogue) and in collaboration with Kim Wright. From this foundation, she developed her own practical approach, known as Conscious Contracting according to De Rechtmakers and later the Rechtmakers method.
From appointment to movement
Development cannot be forced
- do invite
For many years, Digna, through De Rechtmakers, provided a five-day training program in which lawyers and non-lawyers learned how agreements can contribute to trust, cooperation, and shared purpose. Over the years, the language shifted along with the practice. While the work began with relational contracting, the focus is now broader: on transformative contracting and dynamic, living governance, appropriate for administrative issues, oversight, and societal transitions.
COURSE: NOW ON DEMAND AND
IN COMPACT FORM
We are currently no longer offering the multi-day course as an open program. De Rechtmakers now provides learning programs on demand and in more compact formats, tailored to the context and specific learning needs.
This may consist of:
- introductory training or in-depth workshops,
- inspiration sessions or knowledge sessions,
- tailor-made training for teams, departments, boards or supervisors.
We organize training sessions for existing teams or for groups formed by a team. The client provides sufficient participants (for example, one or more departments within an organization) and a location. Individual participants are also welcome to register; a training session begins as soon as there are enough registrations to create a meaningful learning environment.
Education and training
In addition to customized programs, Digna is associated with various training courses as a teacher and trainer:
Nyenrode Business University
In the Public Infrastructure in Transition course, Digna provides instruction on collaboration and contracting in complex public transitions. This course will be completed in 2025.
WesselinkVanZijst – SOM course (Strategic Environmental Management)
Digna takes care of the Securing of Agreements component here twice a year, based on the Mutual Gains philosophy: dealing with power, trust and uncertainty, and the sustainable anchoring of agreements.
NVTZ academy (in development)
A training program for healthcare and social welfare supervisors, focusing on transformations and transitions, will be included in the program. Digna's contribution is currently being developed.
